We Played in the Valley...

… where we played on decrepit, abandoned steam ships, whose skeletons half submerged, ribs, free board stretching, still searching for life, called to us, encircling us, in the misty, downy shrouds of their lives. And in their silent ribbed pools, bullheads and panfish played unaware of the decay about them, or the children who frolicked, above them.
